OMEGA SPEEDMASTER X33 WATCH REPAIR IN SPACE

Space enthusiasts, watch enthusiasts and space watch enthusiasts must watch this video.

Astronaut Don Pettit's Omega X33 watch broke while on orbit. The video shows how he fixed it while in space. See how the screws and parts float around at zero gravity while he does the repair, notice how the tools were affixed with Velcro to keep them in place, and how the free floating parts had to be taped to prevent floating and lost of stuff.

This is just amazing.

Great vid wish my watch shop was as good!

My X33 ran fine until the battery died. When I sent it in Omega said I needed$600+ in repairs. One month later two buttons popped off. Got it back again, now analog clock loses 5 minutes every 3 hours. Ah the joy of owning a fine watch.

Seriously. I'll let Don fix my X-33 any day. The @#$#$ crown is malfunctioning. Again.

One thing I noticed: after the repair, Don's watch was still missing the crown. How come, I wonder?
