ASIA PACIFIC YO-YO CHAMPIONSHIP 2008

Here's the pictures from the Asia Pacific Yo-yo Championship 2008 held in Singapore, Takashimya Shopping Centre from 30 October 2008 to 2 November 2008.

Its one of the major championships in the Yo-yo scene with the best players from all across the Asia Pacific arriving in Singapore for this competition.

I am really late in getting these pictures up. To the Yo-yo guys, my apologies. Please send my Blog or Flickr URL to your Yo-yo friends to share the pictures. I hope they get to see the pictures. These photos are strictly for personal usage only. If you share the pictures please kindly do not remove my copyright notice.

Now for the boring personal notes on the photography stuff.

I shot RAW + JPEG here but I dumped all the JPEG files because the white balance were all out. It all ended up way too much orange for my preference. The lighting here was tungsten, with some fluorescent pollution mixed in, but the best part was that they were using some spot light of ever changing color for effects during the event. So it won't help even if you use devices like ExpoDisc because lighting condition was changing fast every few minutes.

I took care of it all in Lightroom 2. Post processing work took only one day. I added some post processing effects on some shots with Lightroom 2 too.

Wat a pleasant surprise to see people still playing yoyo these days. Do still remember Texas yoyo?
